2026 Spring Hobonichi collection has been revealed and the orders will begin on January 31 at 9PM!
Highlights of the collection include new designs from Unsodo's Bijutsukai in A6, A5 and Weeks sizes as well as some special accessories.
About Hobonichi Spring Collection. If you don't know much about Hobonichi Spring starts, here are some quick facts to introduce you to the concept:
- What is Hobonichi Spring Collection? Hobonichi Spring Starts are a special collection of Hobonichi planners which start April 1 and go till March 31 of the next year.
- How are Spring start Hobonichis different? April 1 is the start of the fiscal year and the academic year in Japan, which is why these planners exist in Japan.
- What language are the Spring starts in? They are available in Japanese only.
- The release is not as large as the release for the January starts on September 1 of the previous year.
- Most of the collection is a re-release of cover designs with a small handful of new designs including this season's Unsodo Bijutsukai.
- Just like the 2026 January starts, there are no cover only options--just Book + Cover.
So if the planners are mostly for Japanese users, why do some people get them?
- We've heard some teachers and students say they prefer this calendar to the January starts.
- Some say that starting a new planner/calendar during the holiday craziness is one more thing to stress about and they have more head space to start a new planner in the Spring.
- Some just can't resist one of the newly released covers for Spring.
